Both Thong Ta Kien Bay and the nearby Coral Cove are worth considering if you're after quiet midrange accommodation that puts you within fairly easy striking distance of the dining and nightlife of Chaweng.
Thong Ta Kien Bay has a range of accommodation from budget priced guesthouses to a rather good mid-range resort. The cheapest places are a little on the grubby side.
Promtsuk Buri Resort offers excellent value bungalows on the northern end of Lamai beach. Rooms are spacious, and have large bathrooms with open-air showers. Each bungalow has a large verandah with patio furniture overlooking the garden or sea. Although the bungalows and rooms are a bit dated in decor, they offer excellent value for money considering the views and pristine beach below.
