Accommodation

Dong Xoai

You'll find a few decent hotels and basic guesthouses catering to locals in the area of the town's central roundabout. Those travelling solo or in pairs will find prices pretty standard, but all the hotels have at least some rooms that sleep four or more, so those travelling in cozy, large groups can make out well here.

This place on the southeast corner of the roundabout is just a flophouse for locals passing through, so don't expect much in terms of quality, but the accommodation is decent for the price -- some of Dong Xoai's cheapest beds are found here. The more expensive rooms theoretically sleep four, but the double beds are pretty skinny. All rooms have private... Read our full review of Van Anh.

This is supposedly the shining star of the Dong Xoai accommodation scene. We found that the cheaper rooms were cramped and not as good value as the ones at the Van Anh up the street, but the pricier rooms were good value for the price range. All the rooms have air-con, cable TV, hot water bathrooms, fridges and amenities. And, yes, those women hanging out in the lobby in the early evening would... Thieng Nga Hotel

The location here is a bit far from the centre of things, and off the road a bit to boot. But the rooms on offer are clean and cheap -- if you're turned off by prices and quality elsewhere, the Thieng Nga offers a good compromise. The rooms are spacious, have nice bathrooms, and fan and air-con options are... Read our full review of Thieng Nga Hotel.
