Grand Hill Hotel

Hpa-An's most popular mid-range option

Photo of Grand Hill Hotel, Sin Phyushin Street, No. 9 quarter. , Hpa-an

What we say: 3.5 stars

Grand Hill is Hpa-An's most popular mid-range option and as above, may often be full with Thai visitors or western tour groups. However they do have e-mail and website so it is somewhat easier to book in advance. It's still nothing fancy though and rooms are to say the least functional though they are clean and all come with hot shower and air-con but, as with Parami, some don't have windows. Rooms are set in one storey rows in a courtyard/garden area but again don't expect anything too lush. Buffet breakfast is pretty good and staff helpful but the main drawback is Grand Hill's location in the suburbs of town some five kilometres from the centre of Hpa-an. Reception will be able to help you with transport into town though, or indeed to sites in the surrounding area, and if Parami is full this is probably your best bet.
