Popular with Burmese travellers
No. 30, Min Gyi Rd, Pathein T: (042) 24 669, (042) 251 51
La Pyae Wun Hotel is located in a nice and quiet part of town but still in close walking distance to the central market, ATM and Shwemokehtaw Pagoda.
The 40-room hotel appears to be popular with Burmese travellers. Rooms are equipped with WiFi and air-con, with the ground and second level rooms having hot water. The spacious rooms are clean overall and well maintained. Bathrooms are large and generously stocked with toiletries. Downsides are tiny TVs and plastic lawn chairs being used as room furniture. The 'New City' tea and coffee house, very popular with locals, is located next door and would be an excellent start to your morning. This is a decent option in the unlikely event that better value Pammawaddy, located just across the street, is full.
