Bophear Guest House
Quaint but stuffy

What we say:
On cool nights when air-con is unnecessary, or if you just want to save five bucks, Bophear Guest House is a decent alternative to the Mekong Hotel while staying centrally located. A block from Mekong Crossing restaurant and one of the city's internet cafes, the hotel's open-air lobby brims with potted and hanging plants. Blue-tiled floors and wood panelling add to the rustic, natural atmosphere, which is unique in a town of whitewashed hotel rooms. A veranda overlooks a quiet sidestreet.
