Owned by a former French paratrooper, Terres Rouges boasts extremely tasteful rooms in a two-storey building, with a new building which looks equally promising in terms of style. Spacious verandas with lounges provide plenty of opportunities for lazing around and enjoying the lovely gardens. The rooms can be a little on the noisy side during the evenings due to open-air ventilation in some sections, so light sleepers should be properly equipped. This is the place to splash out on a scrumptious French meal in Ratanakiri. Try the coq a vin for $8.50, although it must be ordered a day in advance. Highly recommended.
