Tribal Hotel
Ostentatious but convenient

What we say:
Located a few hundred metres from Ban Lung market behind the post office, Tribal is in a convenient spot and has decent amenities but is quite ugly, with several brightly painted, sprawling buildings connected by strange walkways that extend over stagnant ponds. Staff seemed a bit disinterested in assisting us, but the open-air restaurant offers a decent enough menu, with a broad range of western and Asian dishes and of course the ubiquitous fruit shakes. The lake fish with Angkor beer sauce sounds innovative, if a bit frightening. Breakfast is free, which makes the cheap rooms a noticeable deal.

The Tibal Hotel
We had a fabulous time at the Tribal Hotel. We had so much fun! The services provided by the Owner, family and all the staff were above and beyond. It has a unique history of a man man with a dream and you can feel that dream made manifest in the walls and bold design. The Tribal hotel was in a convenient spot and has great amenities. The Amok fish was so AMAZING. Delicious! Great spices and flavors. This was cooked in a spicy coconut & lime sauce and served in a coconut shell. Our stay at the Tribal hotel was fantastic and even had elephant tracking tour which I might add is a ''must do''. Definitely the best deal for the money spent and I plan to do it again--next time I go to Cambodia I will stay at the same place. Jack and Olivia Tidey, UK

This review is too harsh. We were picked up at the bus stop and found clean, comfortable accommodation. The location is great - in town, near restaurants but away from the dust (!!!) of the main road. When I left prescription glasses in a vehicle, Mrs Lim happily used her mobile phone to track down the driver.
