This is the most popular budget hotel in Ban Lung, but it is badly in need of a coat of paint, sand-blasting, or perhaps demolition. Rooms, while well sized, are barely adequate, with more than the occasional bug infestation and during the day they can be baking hot. The hotel was once run by a charismatic, well-known local, but since he sold it, it seems to be descending into decay. The restaurant closed in exchange for a drinks-only karaoke bar, which doesn't bode well for your chances of catching a decent night's sleep.

Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. Ratanak Hotel reviews

Read 1 opinions from Travelfish readers

not great - 17th August, 2009
i ended up here because my 2005 lonely planet said it was good, and my bus trip took 4hours longer than expected (tyre exploded - putting holes in the floor and wall of bus) so i was too buggered to look elsewhere. didn't see any other tourists staying here. felt like a ghost house. looked like it was nice once. the room was ok, the staff were ok, the karaoke wasn't too loud (not many people). i paid $6 for the double fan room. nice balcony. a few cockroaches
