What we say:

Unfortunately for Borann, it's now upstaged by its impressive neighbour. Located just up the street from Tree Top, Borann is a fine hotel with a similarly spectacular view of the green Ban Lung valley from the rear -- though no real porch to view it from. It's set inside a villa with glossy, hardwood floors, walls, and ceilings connected by a winding, super steep staircase. All the rooms have cable TV, fridges, and hot water, while the standard and suite rooms also come with air-con. The suites have bathtubs and a small living space with a few chairs and a table that are, unsurprisingly, wooden and didn't look particularly welcoming. Our favourite feature was the soft, dim lighting that was a refreshing break from the fluorescent bulbs common in Cambodia. Owned by the same people as Yaklom.
