Number 9 Sister Guesthouse is an attractive wooden setup with a spacious balcony area overlooking the lake. Its location, hidden down an otherwise uninhabited alley, makes it a true hideaway on the otherwise overcrowded lakeside. The guesthouse is festooned with hanging plants, including lots of purple orchids -- it's a very pretty setting. Rooms are a bit grungy, lacking in basic amenities and the comforts of soft sheets, strong water pressure, and intact mosquito nets. Rooms with bathrooms are a better deal as the ones with share bathroom are pretty cramped. All bathrooms are cold water only and none have TVs. For the area, this is a very good spot and attracts a friendly, laid-back crowd.

Excellent spot to have a drink - 9th December, 2007
The difference between them and the places around is that their home cinema is far enough from the terrasse.People who would like to enjoy some music under the stars will fing a good spot here. The rooms are not appealing. I decided not to stay there.

Great lakeside terrace - 18th July, 2007
Very basic rooms and bugyy, but the restaurant/bar has good food and nice atmosphere. Easy to meet people and the bar is always full. Their sister guesthouse in Siem Reap has nicer rooms and the same menu.

Lovely decor but basic facilities - 28th September, 2005
Rooms are located along a very pleasant promenade towards the lake, with potted flowers lining the pathway. The bathroom looked alright at first but then none of the appliances worked. A tattered, ineffective mosquito net was provided though there was no blanket. The verandah's an excellent choice for breakfast or an evening beer, though.
