Description
Opposite Tuol Sleng Museum, this excellent garden cafe and guesthouse has spotless, well-sized rooms with great bathrooms and a pleasant ambience. The attached cafe is also excellent. Located opposite the entrance to Tuol Sleng, the location isn't very convenient for the rest of the city, but a squad of motos out front will quickly take you anywhere. Friendly spot. Recommended.

:) I arrived late in the evening by bus from Siem Reap and was very glad to meet the tuk2 guy sent to pick me up. Was a bit blur where to check in as I didn't know the table inside the restaurant was the check in table. :P I loved my room! Nicely decorated and charming. Had a wonderful time staying at Boddhi Tree. Having Tuol Seng just opposite gave me the creeps during the first night but it was just all in my head la. I would definitely come back here if I do visit Phnom Penh again. Lovely, lovely place.
p.s. The guys working here are really nice too, and very helpful. Thanks for everything.
Looks good...... if you want to sleep in a hothouse. - ![]()

I booked carefully (exchanging many emails) to ensure that we had a room with ensuite and air-con at the Boddhi Tree. But I think they have a habit of overbooking because we weren't the only ones arriving on that day booked into a tiny little hovel with a pathetic little fan on the floor and a shared bathroom (shared by everyone including the staff!) Their excuse was that the admin side of it was problematic!?? They offered us accommodation elsewhere -- a revolting room in a drab hotel which they took us to see at our expense. Or take the fan room. It looked like a way of filling up the unwanted rooms to me. And despite this they couldn't assure me that on my return visit (after a trip to Sihanoukville) their would not be any accommodation slip-ups.

we paid 20 dollar for an a/c room with just cold water which felt slightly too much, but the staff is very attentive, the place is cozy, well looked after and has a great atmosphere! in the end we were more bothered by the mosquitos in the room than the prize.
staff are friendly but overpriced for room - ![]()

stayed here for 3nights! staff are lovely with an excellent restaurant. But for what you actually get for the room I thought it was slightly overpriced and its a bit further out.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. I stayed here for three days when I first got to Cambodia (still here now, but in a rented house). I would have ahppily stayed longer if it weren't for the fact that I was moving into a rented house. The staff here are so friendly, the garden is lovely (as is the upstairs veranda/balcony seating area) and the food is amongst the best I've had in Phnom Penh. We have been here 6 weeks now and still go there most weeks for a meal!
I would also highly recommend their sister guesthouse/restaurant, Del Gusto, nearby.
A bit overpriced - ![]()

Stayed for 3 nights at end May / early June. Paid $16US/night for double room plus fan and private bathroom. The ambience is great and the food in the restaurant is also excellent, but the room is over priced for what it is. The staff are friendly and helpful though which makes up a bit for the price.
I love it too - ![]()

Very good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere but the room rates are more expensive. We paid US$12 for one night in a double room with fan and private bathroom. The next night we had a double room with fan and shared bathroom for the same price.
