Great location, good bargain

Location, location, location. Wedged between the much more expensive Amanjaya and Bougainvillier hotels, and surrounded by pubs and restaurants, the Cozyna has bright, spotless rooms with some fine river views. Large wooden furniture, including a bureau, TV stand and a vanity with a large mirror make the rooms feel cosy and full. The single beds are actually double size. Given rates are considerably lower than Cozyna's neighbours, you could do far worse than choosing a room here. Bring earplugs as traffic noise can be a problem. The cheapest rooms here have no windows, but are larger and more comfortable than the other windowless bargains along the riverside strip. Guests staying in these rooms also have access to the share balconies overlooking the bustling street and river.

Great Location - 1st September, 2009
We stayed here for a couple night before going to Siem Reap. TFish is right the location is great and the rooms are pretty nice. Not fancy by any means and the place doesnt have an elevator. We paid $30 for the deluxe room and we were happy with it. Its the city so everything is more expensive. If you stay here keep an eye out for a lady selling crazy foods from her basket. I ate cockroach, mealworm, grasshopper and snake on a stick. She charged me peanuts and I gave her extra. Great times... The second time around we stayed at the Mystere D'Mekong, a brand new place. We got a great rate because it just opened. The location is not as good as cozyna, but the hotel is really nice, with a pool. and MUCH QUIETER Both are reccomended

Comfortable, good value - 5th December, 2007
For its fantastic location, Cozyna is great value at $15-20 for a twin room. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though not very big. The staff are generally accommodating and helpful. I fail to see why the cheapest rooms with no windows ($15) would be non-starters, as they are fine too and there are common balconies anyway.

Unremarkable but good location - 4th March, 2010
Good value, clean rooms. We had a windowless room which was a bit bunker-like, but big and clean and very quiet (no street noise!) Staff were ok, not overly friendly, but then we'd just come from super-friendly Siem Reap so the bar was probably set high! Good value for location - make sure you check out happy hour at Foreign Correspondent's Club nearby, awesome sunset views!

Location excellent - 4th January, 2010
Booked a room with a balcony and what a lovely room it was. Clean and airy and chilling on the balcony watching the world, and elephant, go by really enhanced our stay in PP. It was noisy in the mornings, but tootling out to the balcony watching everyone tootling off to work makes up for it. The staff were excellent, the female receptionist is particular spoke very good English. I borrowed a travel guide while there for the whole two days we were there, excellent perk to supplement my Travelfish guide. The only downside was the strangely positioned shower. My hubby is 6 foot and he found that he was too short for the spray, which focused on the vanity unit, but it didn't spoil the stay. A bizarre happening was poo outside our door one night. On mentioning it to the highly embarrassed Receptionist, who said that the cat comes in through the roof and is DEFINITELY not theirs, we heard it yowling a bit. The next night my Dad had the poo outside his door the next floor down - definitely targets the English!! Overall, despite the English hating cat, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Not friendly at all - 16th December, 2009
The place was ok in terms of cleanliness and comfort, but the staff was rude, unpleasant and unfriendly. We booked 2 double rooms, but when we arrived at 4 p.m. one of them was not ready, so we had to wait for another 3 hours before we could use it. We asked for and were promised a small discount for that room by the reception staff. Upon check-out they refused to give us the discount saying they knew nothing about it from the previous shift. When we insisted on calling the prevoius shift staff, we got a responce that they were just 'trainees' and not authorised to give discounts. All done in totally rude manner. As for location we didn't like riverside at all - too many beggars, kids, tuktuks, hense constant hassle

Nice place - 15th October, 2009
This is a nice place, the rooms are all nice and clean, I would say just go for the basic its all pretty much the same, I got the room with the balcony and window when I first arrived to PP and it was nice. When i returned I go the basic room with no window and it was good too. I would just get the basic again I didnt even use the balcony last time and I didnt even look out the window and you probably wont either. The cool thing about this place is that they speak English well. and its location. on that street you have a lot of good places to eat. Definiately a good place to stay

Clean, comfortable, good value - 17th August, 2009
Paid $23USD per night for a window room with a shared balcony. The room was excellent - clean, comfortable bed, cable TV, strong AC. (If you are a light sleeper, I'd stay away from a window room as the outside noise is loud and endless at all hours.) The service during the reservation procedure was straightforward and great. I used Skype to call a week in advance and they took down my reservation and held the room for me. The service during the stay was friendly enough. They helped book my bus up to Siem Reap and arranged for a tuk tuk for a day in PP. Would stay here again.

A friendly and clean place - 31st May, 2009
Stayed there alone and got the ac room with windows. A bit too much for one person but comparing to the no windows, it was worth it for a night or two. The room was a lot roomier and good lighting (windows) and the bathroom was cleaner and newer. The location is in the middle of things but since the windows are faced towards the traditional market and not the main street, it's quiet most of the time. As for the staff, they are friendly. Very good value I reckon.

excellent place to stay & great value - 10th September, 2008
Cheaper rates than stated here, 20$ for a room with a balcony & 15$ for a room with no window, having stayed in both I would recommend the 15$ option as it is much less noisey than the balcony/window rooms. Great facilities in both rooms, spotlessly clean, great helpful friendly staff, lovely shower (with immaculate towels which is a 1st!) fridge & cable TV etc... & right on the river front. have stayed here twice and just about to return for the 3rd time. beware that some rooms smell a bit smokey though.

Great Location,Nice Staff - 8th March, 2008
We paid $20 for a river view double en-suite room with AC. The room was clean, with nice double bed (a first in SE asia!) We stayed here Feb 08. Staff were very helpful and like the guys above said it's a great place to stay. Only draw back with the river view room is the noise from the traffic which seams to go on all night! Bring your ear plugs! (windowless room may have the advantage here and also have access to the shared balcony! Would stay here again.

A great place - 20th July, 2006
We paid US$20 for a room with a river view. the room was a little small (the bigger ones were full) but very clean and had a good bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great location and good management. Watching the riverfront action from the big balconies was fun!

Perfect place - 17th June, 2006
Ignore the author's comments -– this is a great place to stay. The rooms are functional and airy, there are two choices of river view room, and the place is very well located close to good food spots. For couples traveling together it is the perfect start to Cambodia (not located next to/above a foreigner bar – a good thing in PP). The employees are friendly and helped with some travel arrangements that beet local 'tour' outlets. Look it up – great place!
