Sunday Guesthouse
Economical option near Olympic Stadium

What we say:
Located on a road behind Phnom Penh's Olympic Stadium, this friendly guesthouse has a beautiful patio on the third floor that makes up somewhat for its out-of-the-way location and forgettable rooms, which are homely and small but clean with hot water bathrooms and a small TV in each. We've heard reports of thefts, but these are isolated cases. The staff generally receive high marks from guests. A selection of tour books can be borrowed from the lobby, while they offer a full-service travel agency on site that is efficient, honest and offers good prices for visas, tours and services. At least one of the staff here speaks excellent English with a distinct Kiwi accent and another speaks fluent Mandarin. Call for free transport from the ferry or bus station. Internet is $1 per hour in the lobby. Though the location isn't ideal, there are sometimes entertaining concerts and football games at the stadium, and the massive, well-priced O'Russey Market, as well as the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, are both a short motorbike ride away.

very friendly
very friendly, helpful staff, good english. basic, clean rooms. I was paying $7-8USD/night in march. nice, small balcony on the top level. organised visas for laos and viet nam no worries. reasonable internet connection $1US/hour. often showed 'the killing fields' on big screen in foyer. first level has low ceiling (like in 'being john malkovich' - level 7 and a half).

Tiny, expensive room
We only stayed because we arrived late at night but we moved the next day. This was only because the room was incredibly tiny and just not worth it for $12, we have been travelling SE for 2 months now and it was near the worst value we'd had. Apart from that it is clean and the staff are relatively friendly.

Good Hostel But...
Basic rooms, cheap, nice staff, good breakfast, $35 Vietnam visa in 2 days however next door there is a lot of building work going on so from 7am-5pm dont expect a quiet atmosphere. However in this area of Phnom Penh there is so much construction going on. Try to get a place near the river.

Very Friendly and helpful staff
Stayed here 2 nights. Rooms are basic, a/c can be turned on by request. The food is good. They offer good tours, will make calls for you too. In a very run-down area of Phnom Pehn. Would stay by river next time.
