Although we saw a backpacker go into his room with a sex worker while we visited, this hostel initially struck us as less seedy than some of its neighbours. The rooms are all clean and spacious, and the porch is usually quiet and quite spacious. It's obvious the owners pay closer attention to details. The signs all look freshly painted and nothing seems worn. Plus, the prices are rock bottom. There are few cheaper share bathroom options, and the suites are nice for such a low price.

nice place but staff were much too pushy - 26th August, 2009
Moved here from the neighbouring guesthouse as the rooms seemed nicer for the same sort of price. We weren't wrong - the rooms were lovely given their price.
Staff initially seemed very helpful but soon started being very pushy for us to use their tour booking services and touk touk drivers, to the extent that they eventually became rude. It was a shame because this really tarnished the impression of an otherwise lovely guesthouse.
