Amber Villa and its satellite hotel around the corner at 7B on Street 271, Amber House, is a great new entrant to the guesthouse scene in the BKK 1 area. Rooms at the satellite are a bit cheaper, though they feel outdated, with avocado green refrigerators and boxy, black pleather chairs with an 80s aesthetic. The rooms at Amber Villa are bigger and nicer, with hardwood ceilings, a slate wall, and sconces made of stainless steel. Bathrooms are big and spotless. Room prices include free breakfast, WiFi and laundry. Amber House only has doubles.
