Description
Located just around the corner off Sisowath Quay on Street 110, this mid-sized hotel has good and very clean rooms, all with private bathroom, cable TV and air-con. The most expensive are the only ones with a view. The staff can be very indifferent. The restaurant downstairs does good French food.

Okay, but could do better -
By milkfish08 ( total comments: 5  More information please ) Stayed here 4/2008
Stayed here because we wanted to be near our bus station and this was one of the better places we found nearby.

We had A/C, TV and hot water, but no windows. Room was small, cramped, high ceiling but bad lighting. For $15 a night you could do better at other places if you're staying longer in Phnom Penh.

There is also free breakfast but they serve it at 7am and our bus leaves at 6:20am so we weren't able to sample the fare.

Bright Lotus 1 Guest House
#22 Street 178
The Bright Lotus Guesthouse is in a fabulous location, just across from the National Museum and behind the FCC on the riverfront. It has spotless rooms with air-con, TV, private bathrooms with hot water and pleasant shared verandas. Staff are friendly, too. We've had a couple of reports of them... more

Indochine 2 Hotel
28-30 Street 130, Phnom Penh
Located just off the river on Street 130, this spotless hotel is a great choice, offering big, air-con rooms with private bathroom. It's a bit of a tour-group haven though, so it can sometimes be hard to get service during mass check-ins and... more

Indochine Hotel
251 Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh
Next door to the Sunshine Hotel, the Chinese-style Indochine is very clean and well-kept, but rather featureless. Some of the rooms are huge -- the triple on the ground floor is massive. Indochine has a second branch (see Indochine 2 Hotel) which is the better,(and newer, of the... more

California 2 Guesthouse
317 Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh
This very well-located guesthouse has a range of rooms, though watch your head as you climb the stairs. The place feels a little pokey but you could do far worse and this is a popular option with return visitors. California 2 is also well-known as a great source of information for travelling around... more

Cozyna Hotel
1A Sisowath Quay
Wedged between the Amanjaya and the Bougainvillier, the Cozyna has functional rooms with some fine river views. Given rates are considerably lower than Cozyna's neighbours, you could do far worse than choosing a room here. Bring earplugs as noise can be a problem. The cheapest rooms here have no... more

Riverside Hotel
Corner of Sisowath Quay and Street 94, Phnom Penh
The Riverside Hotel, on the northern end of Sisowath east of Wat Phnom, is a fine option if you want a quiet, peaceful view of the river rather than being in the middle of the action. Rooms are clean, spacious and functional with a phone, TV and... more

Dara Reang Sey Hotel
#45E Street 118, corner of Street 13, Phnom Penh
This hotel and restaurant expanded in February 2006 to include newly renovated rooms in a building across the street. All rooms have hot water bathrooms and Dara Reang Sey is just two blocks from the river, but that's where the good stuff stop. Rooms in the older building, on the south side of... more

The River-Star Hotel
185 Sisowath Quay - corner of Street 118, Phnom Penh
The River-Star has a mix of larger rooms with beautiful views of the river and smaller rooms with no windows. Their promotional brochure brags that even the bathrooms have river views but don't let that fool you -- it appears that in only one bathroom does your shower have a large window. This... more

Angkor International Hotel
#38-50 Street 148, Phnom Penh
The Angkor used to be a rundown old dump and that's still half true. When the new wing is full they still book people into rooms in the old one, which is a musty, cruddy mess with the same price tag. The neighbourhood, as well as the hotel itself, aren't much to look at, but the new lobby has a... more
