Having a little blue swimming pool seems to be de rigueur for guesthouses in Kep these days, and Le Flamboyant is no different. Their pool is perhaps one of the nicest and largest, and its poolside bistro, led by a chef from Madagascar, serves creative Asian/French fusion cuisine ranging from $5 to $10, an interesting departure from the normal hotel fare in Kep. The bungalows are unique too, with outdoor showers and beds for lounging on the rooftop verandas. Inside are stylish, modern furnishings in white with red accents and a boxy, open design. The bathroom is large, lined in blue mosaic, with a rainfall showerhead and a bouquet of fresh orchids beside the sink. WiFi and flat screen TVs with DVD players are available in every room. We found the management to be helpful and kind as well. Because it's low on the hill, this place is missing the ocean views of its competitors, but it's more intimate than, say, Veranda, and we were impressed.

Le Flamboyant reviews

Impressive - 20th December, 2009
Without doubt the most charming host we encountered on our recent travels through SEA. We wanted a little luxury for our last few nights after having done a lot of travelling in a short space of time. Rodolphe, his lovely wife & the friendly staff looked after us exceptionally. The bungalow was fantastic, the pool was great & the food lovely. We also wandered into town by the crab market & picked the nicest looking bar/restaurant for a drink & tapas, Le Toucan, only to find it was run by Rodolphe & his wife. Highly recommended.
