Aged, but quiet location
By the river, Ko Kong
Ko Kong Province
Tel: (016) 823 221

Description
Despite its name, the Koh Kong Riverside is on the other side of the road from the river, so it isn't really riverside, but despite that, its a pretty good location a short walk from the centre of town. The guesthouse has a large open air restaurant out the front and the rooms are all in a two storey house at the rear. The rooms are adequate though a little aged -- we thought the linoleum-covered doors was an interesting touch. Overall the place is showing its age and there are better deals to be had in town. Handy location straight across from the Sunset Bar. Overpriced.

Suspicious, but delivers -
By Lother ( total comments: 32  More information please ) Stayed here 3/2006
Koh Kong Riverside is a somewhat suspicious-looking establishment with goon-like Khmers hanging out in great numbers at the restaurant, but in the end we had no complaints about staying here for one night. The rooms do look old and tired, but are otherwise comfortable. The food is okay and not too expensive either.

Opposite Koh Kong River Side, Ko Kong
Managed by British Cambodia hand Rob, Champa Guesthouse is the only riverside option in Ko Kong, and you are right on the river, with the rooms opening out onto a wooden terrace that faces straight onto the river. All rooms are with fan and shared bathroom facilities. Rates are very reasonable and... more

Koh Kong Guesthouse
By the river, Ko Kong
This is one of the better options in town with large and very clean rooms in a wooden house with an attached restaurant nextdoor. As with the Koh Kong Riverside this place is across the road from the river, so there isn't much in the way of river views, but the airy and comfortable restaurant more... more

Otto's
Ko Kong town
Heading inland from the river road, Otto's sits on a well shaded corner with a bunch of functional though basic wooden rooms in rambling wooden set-up. The two large and well-decked-out balcony areas are a big asset here and a perfect escape from the heat and take a snooze. -- a better location... more

Rasmey Buntham Guesthouse
56 Village 3 Dong Tang Commune, Ko Kong
This popular guesthouse must pay the biggest commissions in town as this is where every motodop seems to want to take you. Overall it is a pretty good establishment, as long as you're not too fussed about being a bit of a walk from the river. The rooms are really well-sized and have clean private... more

Sovan Angkor Guesthouse
East of the market, Ko Kong
Going on the look reception gave us, Sovan Angkor doesn't see a lot of western clientele, and after looking at their pretty smelly, aged rooms it is easy to see why. Room rates are certainly... more
