Koh Kong Guesthouse
About the best of the budget bunch

What we say:
This is one of the better options in town with large and very clean rooms in a wooden house with an attached restaurant nextdoor. As with the Koh Kong Riverside this place is across the road from the river, so there isn't much in the way of river views, but the airy and comfortable restaurant more than compensate. Downstairs rooms have private bathroom while upstairs rooms have shared facilities -- all of which are very clean. Friendly chatty staff. Light sleepers may want to pack earplugs if they don't want to be woken by a bonk-fest in the next room -- the walls are thinner than they look! About the best of the budget bunch in Ko Kong.

Decent enough, but let down by bathrooms
Stayed here last night - a pleasant option with friendly staff and a nice, if quiet, bar/restaurant at the front of the property. Rooms are relatively basic but comfortable - shared and private bathrooms available, but the only room with a large enough double bed and private bathroom wasn't available as the bathroom had flooded. The slightly-bigger-than-single bed we were offered with private bathroom was too small, so we took a double room with shared bathroom - the cold water bathrooms were okay, though the door on one of the bathrooms didn't lock and the toilet hoses in both were broken, meaning it was a bucket and a scoop or nothing. Regular spray shower, though the shower head was suspended in the bucket of toilet flush water. Otherwise quite a good choice - and not bad for the price. Paying in Thai currency, our room was 150 baht.

Simple
Basic rooms, cheap, efficient, friendly. Not a bad option. Keep your valuables with you at all times.
