Koh Kong Guesthouse
Gone downhill, but still popular

What we say:
Koh Kong Guesthouse is one of the cheapest options in town, it’s in a wooden house with an attached restaurant next door. As it is across the road from the river, there isn't much in the way of river views, but the airy and comfortable restaurant more than compensate. Downstairs rooms have private bathroom while upstairs rooms have shared facilities – some of the rooms are dismal dungeons while other are much larger and better for the same price, so try and see a few. Light sleepers may want to pack earplugs if they don't want to be woken by a bonk-fest in the next room -- the walls are thinner than they look!

Decent enough, but let down by bathrooms
Stayed here last night - a pleasant option with friendly staff and a nice, if quiet, bar/restaurant at the front of the property. Rooms are relatively basic but comfortable - shared and private bathrooms available, but the only room with a large enough double bed and private bathroom wasn't available as the bathroom had flooded. The slightly-bigger-than-single bed we were offered with private bathroom was too small, so we took a double room with shared bathroom - the cold water bathrooms were okay, though the door on one of the bathrooms didn't lock and the toilet hoses in both were broken, meaning it was a bucket and a scoop or nothing. Regular spray shower, though the shower head was suspended in the bucket of toilet flush water. Otherwise quite a good choice - and not bad for the price. Paying in Thai currency, our room was 150 baht.

Simple
Basic rooms, cheap, efficient, friendly. Not a bad option. Keep your valuables with you at all times.
