Ataman's Bungalow Resort
Not quite Turkish delight
What we say:
The last resort before the rocks, Ataman's has a treehouse and five ensuite bungalows, with four more under construction. The roomy wood and thatch bungalows sleep two and are elevated behind the beach for the best views from their verandas. The sturdy treehouse is closer to the turquoise sea -- you'll need a head for heights to climb the ladder to a unique sleeping experience in the breezy bedroom overlooking the bay. While the accommodation is all ensuite and provided with nets and wardrobes, there is a certain makeshift air to the decor -- concrete floors, plywood bathroom walls -- which could be improved with some finishing touches. Overall, a reasonable base for some beach time, especially if it's views rather than ambience that float your boat.
