Leng Meng Beach Bungalows offers what may be the nicest accommodation perched directly on the sands of Serendipity beach. These brick bungalows are sturdier and more finished-feeling than their bamboo counterparts and interiors, though small, are comfortably outfitted with thick mattresses and soft light. Set along a well-landscaped brick path, the beachside setting is picturesque and tranquil. The bar and restaurant serve standard fare at standard prices and staff are friendly and helpful. All rooms are priced at $30 including the few that have no windows, so show up early to secure the better rooms. A breakfast omelette is included.

Loud, small, advance payment scam

We planned to stay two nights and were asked to pay in advance. Room is small and fairly clean, beach view distorted by garbage. Biggest problem was very loud bar next door which kept going until 3 AM. We left the next day in search of a place where we might be able to actually sleep. After lengthy discussions the owner refused to return the payment for the second night we never spent there. Our only negative experience in an otherwise fantastic holiday in Cambodia.
