Description
Queen Hill Resort sits at the far end of Ochheuteal Beach atop the headland and overlooking both Ocheuteal Beach on one side and Otres Beach on the other. Rooms are somewhat exposed, but large with ample space to string a hammock or two. The views are spectacular -- easily the best views in the area. The manager speaks English and is eager to please, though with the isolation, it may be a little while before this place really gets going. Could develop into a place to watch.
Bungalow fan private b'room

Stay away! This Korean owned guesthouse was pretty much a terrible experience. In my judgement overpriced and the service at the beachside restaraunt was terrible. It took 1 1/2 hours to get three bowls of simple soup when we were one of only three tables filled. Every bill was wrong to their favor including the room bill. Transport to town is sketchy and the GH is really no help. The rooms are overpriced and smell of sewer gas because the plumbing was not installed correctly.
This is simple stuff that any decent GH can manage to do better than the Queen Hill. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but left after only one. We were afraid that to get dinner we would have to order it the day before!!

My fiance and I stayed here Feb.16-22....it was absolutely wonderful...our hut (#B-9)had 3 big beds in it with good netting, and faced the beach. we feel asleep to the sound of the waves, with a consistent lovely breeze. VERY rustic huts, but very nice balcony. Trees kept us out of direct view from people peering up at us, but we had clear vista of the entire Otres beach. Very quiet...definitely romantic. Staff is slow...but hey, it is the beach, food is ok, the beach is very quiet and non-touristy. You can walk down Otres to other restaurants, or take a moto into town where there are MANY excellent choices. Highly recommended...we paid $15 a night. We also rented a motorbike ($5/day) which made getting around fun. Ok for families, couples...NOT for 'backpacker/hippie/party seekers'...anywhere on Victory/Serendipity is for that.
All in all, we did tour around Sihanoukville on our bike to 'spy' on the other beaches, and we came to the conclusion that we had, by FAR, the best location, beach, and accommodations. Even if the food wasn't outstanding. Definitely worth the trip. They even have an office with internet and int'l phone calls.

Occheuteal Guesthouse
Located on a quiet offshoot from the Golden Lion monument, we'd expected an expansive place with personal touches from viewing their website.
