Beach Club Resort
True resort feel in Sihanoukville

What we say:
The Beach Club Resort has had a makeover and they're now a true resort, with a midsized turquoise pool surrounded by sun loungers and thatched roof cabanas. Rates include an all-you-can eat buffet breakfast, and they brag of having the fastest WiFi connection in town. Friendly staff further enhance the allure of this place, which despite the fact that they are a 5-minute walk from the beach, has the feel of a beachside resort. All rooms have air-con, private hot water bathroom with the fabled shower curtain that one does not often see in Cambodia, safe and TV.

Best in class
Been to Sihanoukville a few times over the years. On the last trip I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at the Beach Club. The Beach Club seems to me to be the best of the new breed of mid-range hotels that continue to spring up around the greater Ocheateal Beach area. I’ve stayed at a few now, The Reef Resort, Orchidee and another on Beach Road...come to think of it, it might have been called Beach Road. All are ok as far as Cambodia goes but it seems to me that the Beach Club has a slight edge over the others. It’s not so much that the Beach Club out shines the others in one particular way but rather it seems to have a better mix and balance of all things you might want out of holiday in Cambodia. Great location. Nice, clean pool. Comfortable, large, clean rooms. Internet. Friendly staff and a restaurant & bar that you feel happy to walk home to after a hard day on the beach. Naturally there is room for improvement but this is Cambodia and no matter where you stay, regardless of budget, you'll always be able to find plenty of imperfections..particularly if you're looking for them. Don’t get me wrong...I love Cambodia! It’s just my opinion that you’ll have a better time in this country if you’re not to fussed about the little details and simply relax and enjoy the much bigger picture that is beautiful Cambodia and it’s friendly, kind and often crazy people. In a nutshell – I thought they did a pretty good job of pulling together all the ingredients that make for a great stay. As an added bonus...there is a fantastic restaurant across the road. Grand Restaurant Kampuchea - a must try - no matter where you decide to stay. Try the Amok...you'll be back for more.
