Queen Hill Resort
A well isolated and secluded spot
What we say:
Queens Hill Resort sits at the far end of Ochheuteal beach atop the headland and overlooking both Ochheuteal beach on one side and Otres beach on the other. Rooms are somewhat exposed, but large with ample space to string a hammock or two. Yes, the bungalows are pretty rustic, yes, there's ugly carpet in some rooms and yes, it's not as clean as it could be, but despite this there's something about Queens Hill that's remarkably appealing. It might be the spectacular views — easily the best in the area — and with the current development on Otres, there are restaurants and bars aplenty just a short stroll away. Happily, Queen Hill still preserves its isolated feel amid all the building nearby, striking a harmonious balance between seclusion and connectedness. Keep in mind that it's still quite a way from Serendipity and downtown and getting around is tough without your own transport, although it's easy enough to pick up or rent a moto. The manager speaks English and is eager to please though things seem to move at a snail's pace up here.
