Angkor Inn
Big TVs and low rates

What we say:
Open for a dozen years or so now, the Angkor has seen recent improvements: 21-inch satellite TVs now come standard in every room and there's internet access in the lobby. The place however still manages to keep its rates low and it is known for its friendly staff and owner, Mom. The rooms certainly aren't luxurious, being a bit rundown with green walls and cheap floral sheets, but for these rates you can't complain too much. The hotel's restaurant bar offers a full menu of expected Western fare and large portions for small prices.

Nice stay
Wrapped myself up in my Charlie Brown and Snoopy blankets and slept well. Staying here is good. Not much for atmosphere though.

Go for the cheap rooms, stay for Mama
$6 for a decent sized room, hot water and cable TV. Centrally located, within walking distance from where your bus drops you. I walked to the beach, but I figure most would want a moto. But on to the highlight - Mama! She's great. She really is like a surrogate mother. Taking care of her guests seems to be what she really enjoys. Great breakfasts with VERY generous portions. I arrived in S'ville on New Year's eve, so I couldn't find a room at the beach, but I'm not disappointed with where I wound up - the Angkor Inn. (I eventually moved on to Mohachai GH at Serendipity Beach - a definite gem. On the dirt road to Serendipity. 9/10 stars)

Mom
Mom was the best part of my stay in sihanoukvile. She is the owner of the place, and has been here for years. Had a great time!
