Description
Despite all the newer, shinier hotels in town, the venerable Teo, set at the southern edge of Battambang near the post office, remains a favourite among tour groups and mid-range travellers. Rooms are very generously sized and come with all the amenities you'd need, including fridge, cable TV and air-con. They're very clean and there's an attached restaurant should you feel like eating at home. One minor gripe is given the hotel's popularity with groups it tends to swing from heaving to near-abandoned from day to day. Lack of any rooms with just fan-cooling keeps the budgeteers at bay.

A bit more expensive than listed above. The place looks more like a hospital to me. Our room was enormous, but devoid of any character. It is clean and sterile and will suffice, but won't leave you dying to return.

It's a great hotel because of the things u can do and see. theres a porch outside that u read there and the bathroom is a must see. theres just a room with a sink and a toilet and you wash yourself there , its pretty neat. the only thing i hated was walking all the way to my room (top floor, has like 15 floors)

We also found the rooms clean and newly renovated. Our room was cavernous. The colour scheme was..umm...worrisome with light pink floor tile, slightly darker pink tiles halfway up the wall, pink paint the rest of the way up, dark purple curtains. Of course, the only lights were fluorescent. OK, so somebody there likes pink and you cannot see it when you are sleeping, so no worries I suppose.
I guess we missed the ''beautiful garden'' noted by Terry (above). There are a few cement tables with some bushes adjoining the restaurant. Yes, that was a pleasant escape from the rather clinical atmosphere of the tiled (and clean!) restaurant.
All said, my local Cambodian associate insisted that the Teo was the only acceptable hotel in town, but I cannot confirm that.

One of a bunch of newish hotels that have been plonked down in Battambang in the last year or two, the Banan has standard, mid-range rooms with a good array of amenities, including air-con throughout, hot water bathrooms, cable TV, IDD telephone (in the room) and free internet access. It's at the... more

Highway 4, Battambang
As we walked into the Spring Park Hotel around eight in the morning, four obviously drunk young women barreled out -- we knew that it was a business hotel, but we didn't expect it was for that kind of business. That said, drunk party-girls aside, the Spring Park has a surprisingly good array of... more
