As we walked into the Spring Park Hotel around eight in the morning, four obviously drunk young women barreled out -- we knew that it was a business hotel, but we didn't expect it was for that kind of business. That said, drunk party-girls aside, the Spring Park has a surprisingly good array of rooms. Both fan and air-con rooms are available, and if you can do without air-con they're a steal at these prices. The only disadvantage is the location, on the far side of the river from the centre of Battambang -- a good thirty minute walk (of five minute moto ride) from the heart of the action. On the upside, the bathrooms are very clean and the rooms have all the standards like in-room telephone, cable TV and refrigerator. Internet can be hooked up into the room if required. English is spoken, there's a restaurant on site and there's even an elevator that goes to every floor -- the only one in Battambang apparently. Some rooms include breakfast.
