GOOD GUEST HOUSE -
By supervale ( total comments: 10  More information please ) Stayed here 10/2007
We are very happy with the place: it was close to the main bar area and the courtyard was a great place to hang out and the breakfast was free (all day long). Lots of dvds if you wanna watch films and cable tv too. One word of advice: don't believe the tuc tuc drivers: the ride to the hotel is not free!!
Anyway, the room was clean and the hotel is very spacious.

Couldn't stay there -
By Fleur_D ( total comments: 13  More information please )
I tried and failed to book with them several days in advance. Very slow on advising whether a booking has been accepted (in fact, once they knew they didn't have room, they didn't bother to tell me).

Have you stayed at Red Lodge? What did you think?

Ivy Guesthouse and Bar II
Near the river, Siem Reap
The Ivy Guesthouse and Bar II is related to the same-named popular bar and guesthouse in town. Set in a two-storey house, you're only a five-minute walk from the old market area. Rooms are well-sized and clean, though they can be a little noisy around 4am when other guests' alarms go off! Overall... more

Dead Fish Tower
Sivatha Rd, Siem Reap
The Dead Fish Tower has an eclectic mix of rooms, including some with crocodiles, varying quite a bit in size (the rooms, not the crocodiles), some of which are very cramped. Affiliated with the same-named restaurant up the road, Dead Fish's rooms are clean and pretty well kitted out considering... more

Mandalay Inn
Psar Kruong St, Siem Reap
The sign out front reads Looks expensive but not and they're not kidding. The Mandalay Inn, in this new location, offers spectacular backpacker value. The rooms are spacious and brand spanking new -- fitted out with cable TV, minibars and hot water showers. The air-con and fan rooms are identical... more

The Prince Mekong Villa
House 415, Taphul, Siem Reap
You know when the smiling manager pulls himself out of a hammock and greets you with an immediate handshake that you're onto a good thing. This was a surprising find -- it looks like a typical Khmer house style guesthouse from the street, but behind the main house there's a second building with... more
