Where is The Red Piano?

The Red Piano

Great family option

Particularly obliging staff were on duty at Red Piano when we called in during low season, when the lobby area and front porch were dusty and empty, and seemed to be under construction. Rooms are spotless and quite well-sized affairs -- brightly painted (as is the hotel's exterior, though it's more purple than red nowadays). The Red Piano is a really good deal for small groups as the room price jumps by just two dollars when you go from one to two to three people. All come with air-con, TV, fridge and hot water and include breakfast -- the rooms at the rear are quieter. Definitely a good flashpacker option, the Red Piano is also popular with families, since the single room comes with two single beds and the double room comes with a double bed and an extra single. In high season reservations are close to essential.

The Red Piano reviews

Helpful Staff - 10th September, 2009
The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were spotless. The hotel is located about 200 metres from their restaurant which is in the centre of town. This was not a problem for us because the hotel is in a nice quiet street away from the noise but just a minutes walk away. The restaurant is in the middle of town with an open air second floor with great views of all the street action.

quiet and beautiful - 9th April, 2007
We arrived here after the Golden Banana had lost our booking. We arrived at the Red Piano to be offered the last room available at a reduced rate. For the two of us the family room (4 beds) was beautiful, clean and quiet. We were very happy with the service. Its a quick walk into town.

Great location - 13th July, 2005
Spent five nights here quite happily. Rooms are new and well furnished. Hot water, air-con, cable TV and a bar fridge were all included in the US$18/night. You are close enough to walk quickly into the centre of town, but the street is quiet so that you don't get woken too early. Would recommend it highly if you feel like splashing out a bit with your cash.
