Description
A bit off the beaten track, down a dirt road running back from the river, Peace of Angkor has a bunch of clean and pretty spacious air-con rooms in a Khmer-style villa with a newly attached annexe. Rooms are well-loved and the bathrooms in particular are immaculate. The deluxe rooms are priced the same regardless of if they're sleeping two or three, so for families and travelling trios, it is a pretty good deal, but for travelling singles, this is a bit pricey choice -- the minibar-less standard rooms are overpriced compared to other offerings nearby. Peace of Angkor makes prominent display of a number of tours into the surrounds, which looked to be pretty good deals. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nearer to town than expected, and exceptional staff. Let down by the owners attitude - for example -The sheets were not charged once in the week we were there and also owner kept charging different prices on different days for (very!) expensive tours. Breafast not worth paying extra for. Delux rooms not much different from standard. Amatuer photography is available.
Very comfortable for the price - ![]()

If you can find this place, it's worth a stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable (some more than others). The food is just OK, but the service is great and the staff friendly. My opinion was that a deluxe room wasn't much different from a standard room, although the deluxe room includes breakfast (but you'll probably be at the temples for sunrise).
Out of the way, but worth it - ![]()

My room was spotless, and the owner was a top notch fellow you could have a beer with. There's an interesting little art studio just around the corner that is worth a look.

La Noria's rooms are set four to a bungalow (two on the ground floor, two on the upper floor) and they're reasonably well kitted out, with firm beds, clean bathrooms and a few other bits of furniture, along with a couple of lazy chairs on the front deck. Fan and air-con rooms are identical. There's... more
Golden Banana Bed and Breakfast
Phum Wat Damnak, Siem Reap
The Golden Banana B&B is the older of GB's two side by side properties and it was looking a bit long in the tooth when we last visited. It has a bunch of chalet-style rooms in a compact leafy garden. Rooms aren't as good as they once were and struck us as a little variable. We were shown two rooms... more

Big Lyna Villa

With just 11 rooms, the oddly named Big Lyna Villa is a pretty good deal for flashpackers looking for a homely feel in the Wat Bo part of Siem Reap. Golden Orange Hotel

A bit of an anomaly for the area, the rooms at the relatively new Golden Orange Hotel are pretty good value if you're happy with fairly standard hotel fare that's clean and spacious but not looking for any character awards.
