Casa Angkor's 95 rooms are spread across a couple of faux-colonial buildings in the heart of Siem Reap's French Quarter. The hotel feels a bit like a cheap Raffles knock-off but could also be seen as a satisfactory replacement for the real thing. Rooms are light and airy, and some come with pleasant verandas and shuttered windows. The deluxe rooms are definitely worth the extra money, being bigger and better situated. With the new building came a good, deep swimming pool, which certainly increases the value of Casa Angkor, but the walk-in rates still struck us as a tad high for the standard. That said, discounts shouldn't be too difficult to come by -- either online or just ask. Staff and service is prompt and professional.
