This funky, Western-run place feels like a Franco-Asian boutique, with eight imaginatively decorated, stylish rooms. It also has extremely friendly management and staff. Each room is a little different but they're all well-sized and comfortable, with the downstairs rooms concrete and the upstairs wooden. The bathrooms border on wacky, with the floors and walls made of a mosaic of broken tiles, with elevated toilets, and in one, a dead mango tree sprouting up from the floor. A minor gripe is the dim room lighting. Paired with dark walls and low ceilings, you're better off lounging around come the evening than trying to read in bed. There's no TV or fridge either. Try for an upstairs room if possible. The place is starting to seem a little long in the tooth and though it would be a shame to remodel this old building, it could use some retiling and a good scrub, while the gardens need a weed. The location -- beyond comfortable walking distance into Siem Reap -- really isn't very good at all, but as far as the places dotting the airport road go, this is a unique option. There's a computer in the restaurant area, as well as a selection of books and board games. You can pay $1 per hour to use WiFi on your laptop. Prices include breakfast, pick-up service, and a massage upon arrival.

By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. They'll tell you its far - Its not! - 1st December, 2009
We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The tuk tuk driver from the bus station tried to convince us to stay in the town centre because here was too far, but he was full of it. It's a 5 minute ride from the centre. Yes, a bit far to walk, but with the dust we didn't feel so inclined anyway.
The staff were all friendly and the place has a cool atmosphere and some creativity in the way its been set up.
Downsides are room lighting, and a bit of noise from next door (people, not machines or construction or anything).
Overall, not mind blowing, but something different and enjoyable.
