Description
La Noria's rooms are set four to a bungalow (two on the ground floor, two on the upper floor) and they're reasonably well kitted out, with firm beds, clean bathrooms and a few other bits of furniture, along with a couple of lazy chairs on the front deck. Fan and air-con rooms are identical. There's a good, deep swimming pool, with an adjoining bar and massage centre (the bar doesn't open till midday). The restaurant is large and fairly well patronised. The staff at La Noria can be pretty curt, on a number of visits we've found them to swing between indifferent to nigh on unapproachable. La Noria is looking, and the rooms are smelling, pretty long in the tooth. The gardens are lush but not particularly well tended and the pathways uneven and patchy. Go for an upper level room near the pool as some rooms are not at all well positioned. Overall it feels badly in need of a cleaning out and refurbishment and the nearby Borann is a better choice.

Great place to stay in Siem Reap -
By AMD ( total comments: 4  More information please ) Stayed here 12/2006
Great place to stay if you want to relax between the temple sightseeing. It was very nice to ''come home'' to the nice garden after being at the temple or in the busy town. We stayed in one of the best room, with a beautiful view over the pleasant pool.

We loved our stay here. Lovely garden, great pool to relax tired legs and feet after a long day at Angkor, and the blind masseurs are wonderful. The rooms are a bit on the small side but nonetheless we really enjoyed our stay here.

Two Dragons Guesthouse and Restaurant
Wat Bo, Siem Reap
The American/Thai owners of Two Dragons are also the minds behind the Tales of Asia website -- one of the best Cambodia-focussed websites online -- making this not only a good place to stay, but a terrific place to pick up information on travelling throughout Cambodia. Rooms are set in a two-storey... more

Borann
Behind La Noria, just off Wat Bo Road, Siem Reap
The 20-room Borann is a lushly quiet world away from the hustle and bustle of dusty downtown Siem Reap, which is just a 15-minute walk away. Set in five, two-storey bungalows, the spacious shuttered rooms are tastefully decorated and have large verandas with comfortable lazy-chairs for enjoying a... more

Golden Banana Bed and Breakfast
Phum Wat Damnak, Siem Reap
The Golden Banana B&B is the older of GB's two side by side properties and it was looking a bit long in the tooth when we last visited. It has a bunch of chalet-style rooms in a compact leafy garden. Rooms aren't as good as they once were and struck us as a little variable. We were shown two rooms... more

Peace of Angkor Villa
0133 Slorkram Village, Siem Reap
A bit off the beaten track, down a dirt road running back from the river, Peace of Angkor has a bunch of clean and pretty spacious air-con rooms in a Khmer-style villa with a newly attached annexe. Rooms are well-loved and the bathrooms in particular are immaculate. The deluxe rooms are priced the... more

Rosy Guesthouse
Achasvar Rd, Siem Reap
English managed Rosy Guesthouse has a bunch of spic and span single, double and triple/family rooms in a Khmer-style villa overlooking the Siem Reap river. Downstairs is an open-to-the-street bar and restaurant with a pool table and free WiFi internet access. Rooms range in size with both small and... more

Sydney Angkor Hotel
East side of the river, Wat Bo, Siem Reap
The Sydney Angkor Hotel is on the east side of Siem Reap and represents good value if you want to stay in a hotel rather than a guesthouse. The rooms are clean, well sized and come with a full complement of facilities. The staff speak good English and are quite helpful. While the hotel certainly... more

Big Lyna Villa
659 Wat Bo Village
With just 11 rooms, the oddly named Big Lyna Villa is a pretty good deal for flashpackers looking for a homely feel in the Wat Bo part of Siem Reap. Rooms are in an old Khmer-style house -- concrete on the ground floor, wood up top -- and are very well sized and cleaned to a polish. The rooms share... more

Golden Orange Hotel
Group 1, House 007, Siem Reap
A bit of an anomaly for the area, the rooms at the relatively new Golden Orange Hotel are pretty good value if you're happy with fairly standard hotel fare that's clean and spacious but not looking for any character awards. Rooms and bathrooms (only the deluxe rooms have bathtubs) are particularly... more
