What we say:

Golden Banana Boutique Resort, next door to the B&B, opened in January 2009. Its rooms, like the hotel of the same name, are also situated around a big swimming pool, which is made of slate. Everything is slightly more upscale than the already lovely hotel two doors down. The villa rooms follow the hotel's two-level design, while the cheaper suite rooms are one level. Linens are lime green and furnishings made of bamboo. There are paintings of laughing Khmers with cartoonish smiles in every room. Rooms are an open floor plan with connected bathrooms. They have porches with lounge chairs, small outdoor bathtubs, flat-screen Sony TVs, and rainfall showerheads. The only drawback is that some of the villa rooms are accessible only by narrow, metal staircase/ladders that seem precarious, particularly after a few cocktails. Poolside massages cost $10. Prices include breakfast. Free WiFi is available throughout.
