Good for flashpacking families
What we say: 
The lawn gardens at Arya Amed run all the way down to the water's edge where they finish with a moderately-proportioned swimming pool and restaurant overlooking Bunutan Bay. Rooms are dotted across the grounds and come in a variety of flavours, all of which are pretty well sized and looked after. All are air-con with hot water bathrooms, flat screen TV, DVD player and free WiFi, and there is plenty of room to stick in an extra bed should you need one. We found the staff to be especially cheery and straight-talking; when we asked after the snorkelling offshore were told that it really isn't very good and that it is much better down at Banyuning. If you're travelling with kids and they need a half acre to exhaust themselves on, then this place should be near the top of your list. The rack rates are ridiculous, but we found discounts to be easily forthcoming (in low season) so prepare to barter or shop around for a competitive online rate.
