This hotel is located at the far northern end of Jalan Pantai Indah a good fifteen minute walk from the centre of town. The main advantage of this is just about zero traffic noise. Greeted by a small gamelan playing traditional music, from the very moment you enter Puri Bagus' sprawling and neatly presented grounds you know you are in for a treat. The 47 bungalows are well-spaced and well fitted out with air-con, TV, fridge, free water and coffee and large soft bed with quality linen. The newly renovated rooms have dark wood furniture, a more modern bathroom and a luxurious feel. The hotel has two large pools with plenty of lounging area and a dive shop and the staff are very attentive. Rack rates are ridiculously high, so try for a discount, shop online or ask after any special deals, especially in off-season.

Stayed here 5 nights, not at the prices listed somehow we booked on-line and got this for about $50 a night. Breakfast is pretty great and not too many funny looks when stuffing croissants into our knapsacks.The pool is good but packed. The rooms are nice and the water is right there with awesome little pantoons. The location is quiet and the walk to the town is nice. There is a warung next door which is way cheaper than the hotel restaurant. Probably wouldn't stay here again as other guests tended to be a bit rude. Staff were friendly and efficient.
