What we say:

Kelapa Mas Homestay is one of the bigger properties on the seaside of the main Candidasa road. The accommodation comes in the form of bamboo and wooden duplex double rooms with half open air bathrooms and more solid brick bungalows scattered back through the garden. The airy rooms are a good size, though the mattresses are squidgy and thin. The very well-tended grounds feel like a manicured banana grove and there is a seaside beach terrace area complete with deckchairs, umbrellas, a beach bar and great views all the way to Padang Bai. The two storey family rooms ar good value and very well appointed. A popular stop with tour groups so tends to fluctuate between deserted and very busy. An all-round pleasant place to stay- recommended — especially for families whose kids want some grass and sand to run around on. Note most of the rooms have cold water only, struck us as a bit odd at these prices. The claimed free WiFi can be pretty flakey.
