Nusa Indah

Nusa Indah is really quite a find.

Photo of Nusa Indah

We stumbled upon it while trying to find something else and well, what a welcome surprise. Shown around by the affable Wayan, Nusa Indah offers a mix of standard and family-styled rooms in a couple of rows running down to a compact, unusually shaped swimming pool, cafe/restaurant, and a glorious strip of sand. Owned by a German couple (not in residence when we visited) who initially intended this to be a private home, both the rooms and gardens are very well looked after. The standard is sort of a midway between the cheaper and more opulent beachside places in central Candi Dasa and it is priced accordingly. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean and the terrace balconies comfortable. Most rooms are in a duplex setup (meaning two rooms to one building). This is a way out of Candi Dasa and you will need to have your own transport if you intend to do a lot of tooing and froing. The beach is lovely — it's all backed by a retaining wall across the entire bay, but it is particularly pretty.
