What we say:

The Nirwana Resort and Spa is a little out of Candi Dasa itself, set on the waterfront at the end of a partially sealed track in Sengkidu village. We arrived in the midst of a ceremony but the staff still very obligingly showed us right through the property and we're glad they did as while the rack rates are high here, there are often significant discounts (like 60% off) available online, so whatever you do, book this one online! Rooms are well kitted out and of a good size with most mod-cons and a tempting swimming pool near the water's edge. Both the gardens and grounds are just average and really in need of some tender loving care. The most expensive rooms are close to the pool and water, but you'll be sacrificing a bit of privacy with some of these and we'd lean towards a garden room for a little less passing traffic. Two disadvantages of here do jump out, one being the location (you'll need transport to get into Candi Dasa proper) and secondly, while the resort is oceanfront, there is no real beach to speak of.
