What we say:

We've got a bit of a soft spot for Un's, probably in part because it is right next to surfer hangout The Balcony Restaurant which does massive breakfasts perfect for a day in the waves (or stomping Kuta's gangs reviewing hotels). Un's has two rows of two storey accommodation overlooking a well-shaded lawn garden area with a swimming pool at the centre. This hotel is very old school in its decor and fittings — the bathrooms can be a bit fumey and don't expect new mattresses. Despite this, it remains very popular and has a friendly vibe. Popular with the beach-bum crowd who don't want to pay top dollar for a resort but likewise don't want to slum it down on Poppies. Rooms are well sized and the downstairs rooms empty onto a large common patio area that is ideal for getting to know your neighbours or to just cool off in the shade.
