Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana
Delivers the goods

What we say:
The Pullman had its soft opening in early 2011 and when we visited in mid-2011 only the front wing was open for business, with the remainder expected to open by September 2011. We were shown one of the deluxe rooms by the especially obliging staff and, while it's out of our budget, if it is in yours, this hotel should be on your shortlist. The room was not huge but had a very classy finish with crisp linens and dark woods. Bathrooms include a shower and separate tub — the latter with a window. In-room facilities include flatscreen TV, complimentary WiFi internet, minibar, safe and a small sofa that can pull out to an extra bed if required. Within the resort there is a roof-top horizon pool and a second, more family-friendly pool. Also on site is a kids' club and gym. The kids' club was decked out with some great swag but is located down an echo-y corridor with no natural light — one hopes it will be moved to a better location once the resort is fully operational. There's nothing especially Balinese about this luxury hotel, but it's a smart property that delivers the holiday goods.
