Ramada Resort Camakila
Compact luxury

What we say:
This is a compact property running from Padma Utara down to the beach. The vast majority of the rooms are configured as deluxe and are available in three- and four-storey buildings running down to the beach. Both from the reception and the beachfront it is an impressive looking property, but it feels a bit cramped as you walk through. This is especially the case at the rear freeform-almost-lagoon-style pool where, because there isn't really enough room around the pool for the deckchairs, they're stacked back along the walkway down to the beach. It's a bit peculiar. Rooms are immaculate, with frosty air-con and all the mod-cons, but if you value your privacy, request an upstairs room as the ground floor will get a lot of passing traffic. The beach area is given over to Tao restaurant and beach bar and is where you'll also find the second swimming pool, which is really more of a plunge pool. Do wander down for a sunset cocktail. Check online for competitive rates as the published rates are high but significant discounts and special deals can be had.
