The rooms at Munduk Sari Nature Villas are very modern with large-tiled floors, solid wooden furniture and great beds with good quality linen. It feels like a bit of luxury in an area where you'd ordinarily expect much less. The bathrooms are very clean and modern, with hot water and some even have a bathtub. The family rooms here are perfect for a family with two children as they are two separate bedrooms connected by a massive balcony area that has tables and chairs for eating meals on and enjoying the stunning views of the massive ravine that stretches all the way along the northwest coast of Bali. Some rooms have trees blocking the ravine views, so see if you can check a few before deciding on one. Munduk Sari has two properties some 200 metres apart. One is called Munduk Sari Garden Villa and the other Munduk Sari Nature Villa, with the latter being closer to the village but only the further property having a restaurant. The standards at Garden villa are a bit smelly and best avoided, but the superior rooms there are oversized and especially cool -- we thought there was an air-con unit, but there's no need for one.
