One Homestay
Best budget choice in Munduk

What we say:
One Homestay offers just two rooms, with no plans for more. Both are clean, but the upstairs one has hot water and takes full advantage of the magnificent view while the downstairs one has cold water and its view is partially blocked by buildings in the foreground. The rooms are best described as very basic, but the beds are comfortable and the balconies have lounge chairs for taking in the views in a breezy comfortable atmosphere. We were told the way the owner puts it is, "The bed is for sleeping, the bathroom is for the toilet and the balcony is for living." Given the competition, the value here is excellent, but that's not the end of it. It's also possible to eat here very cheaply, take a cooking class, trek for 35,000 rupiah per hour and access the internet for 10,000 rupiah per hour. All-in-all, this is an excellent choice for those on a tight budget. On our last visit to Munduk, we were given the updated information from two guests as we were unable to see a room. This remains the best budget deal in town, but if it's full, head up the road to Taman Ayu.
