Melia Bali
A more affordable slice of luxury

What we say:
Set towards the southern end of Nusa Dua's luxury neighbourhood, the Melia Bali doesn't have quite the facilities (nor the sky high pricetag) of some of its neighbours, but, with recently renovated rooms, this isn't a bad deal. The renovated deluxe rooms are well kitted out with polished wooden floors, motif decor, new mattresses, flat screen TVs and plush linen. Both the new and old rooms have older-style bathrooms, but they are still very clean and very pleasant — just not of the ultra-modern standard you'll find elsewhere in Nusa Dua. The swimming pool at the Melia Bali is an enormous lagoon style affair and has a swim up bar and a range of nooks to explore in true resort fashion. The sprawling frangipani-strewn gardens provide a relaxing path from the rooms to the pool area, restaurants and beach. The beach area actually offers two separate beach areas separated by a small outcrop and lookout. A decent hotel to stay in but be sure to shop around for a competitive online rate.
