What we say:

The Samaya was built in 2001, but it still looks brand new and has a sleekness about it that is quite incredible for a property of this age. Each of the enormous villas is contained within its own walled compound, which allows maximum light to burst through the large villa windows while strategically placed plants create the right amount of shade in sitting areas. Of course each villa contains its own plunge pool, a sexy bath with two seats in it, a large living area with 42-inch TV, free WiFi and a whole host of luxury appointments. The communal pool area which overlooks the ocean is shaped like a lagoon and some might mistake it for a big fish pond at first glance. The hotel will be renovated in 2011, but we wonder how it could be made better.
