Great value close to town
What we say: 
The staff at Bali Permai are a wonderful bunch, but they mustn't have had much interaction with guests so far as their English is poor, they don't know room prices and are shy when interacting with customers. This is probably due to the first rooms only being opened in mid-2010 after the high season had finished and thus customers thin on the ground. The pool is at the centre of this property and uses a waterspout from a rock to recycle and filter its water; despite this, the pool still had a film of debris on it when we visited. The rooms have big, hard mattressed four-poster beds with mosquito nets, lots of useful furniture such as a wardrobe and chest of drawers and good sized hot water bathroom. To cap it all off, air-con is included. It's difficult to beat this value in Tulamben.
