What we say: 
About 100 metres on the right from the main Dieng intersection in among a cluster of similar homestays is Flamboyan. The good thing about this place is that it has carpeted floors as well as a convivial common area which has shared kitchen facilities and great lounges for hanging out with other travellers. In the low season, this common area can feel a bit dead due to a lack of fellow travellers, but in the high season it can be a pleasant hangout area. Beds are decent and the bedding is certainly good enough to protect you from the cold overnight temperatures. The bathrooms with hot water and squat toilets are all private and clean. The young staff here make this place feel a little more lively than many others in town and may be able to suggest activities for the more adventurous. This place is one of the good ones.
