Old style hotel
What we say: 
This old-style hotel is quite typical in Indonesia; there's a distinct lack of maintenance and a budget atmosphere, and this despite some room prices being mid-range at Kalingga Star. The driver room has a fan, a table and private bathroom with Western toilet and bak mandi. All other rooms have air-con with the most expensive rooms having hot water, but you do pay a hefty price for this luxury. It's a close contest between this hotel and Elim up the road as to which is the better value, but Elim has the edge. Breakfast is included in the tariff.
